Resource Title | Research Brief: Students’ Perspective on Cyber Bullying |
---|---|
Summary | The study aims to gain a better understanding of the impact of cyberbullying on students and the possible need for prevention messages targeting students, educators and parents. Over 125 middle/high school students were interviewed during focus groups in a public school district. Students’ comments suggest that students view cyberbullying as a problem, but one rarely discussed at school. Students don't view school personnel as helpful resources. Researchers conclude that schools should address cyberbullying through a combination of polices/information shared with students and parents. |
